Renaissance Artists Trading Card Project
Objective: Research information about an individual Renaissance artist and create a trading card for each artist that highlights their work of art, your understanding of the technique used by the artist, and their impact on the Renaissance.

- Part I: You will work with a group ( I will assign you to groups) to seek information about specific Renaissance artists. Each group member will agree upon assigned roles of recorder, trading card creator, and reporter. One or more members may have two roles if the need arises. Each member will complete the research part of the project. Group members should research 2-3 parts of the list provided below. Members should agree upon who will conduct which part of the research.
- Groups will research two (2) artist. The first artist the group researches should use the links provided on livebinders.com created by Ms. Lozada at this link: Renaissance Artist For the second artist the group will conduct research outside of livebinder and cite your sources using your bibme account. Use at least three sources.
- Part II: Information group members should look for should include is listed below. Use this research guide worksheet on google docs to help with your research Google Doc
- Time period
- Location
- Role
- Major events
- Include a quote (pick one that is interesting to you)
- Actions they have taken.
- Interactions with others.
- Your groups personal impression of the artist.
- Picture that group members agree to use of the artist.
- Part III: You will then create a trading card for each explorer using this trading card generator at this link ThinkWriteRead Trading Card Generator
- Once your trading cards are created please make the teacher aware, so that he or she can save your work for presentation the next day.
- You will have Tuesday and Wednesday for researching and Thursday will be dedicated to the creation of your trading card. Friday the reporter for your group will present. Please pick this person on Tuesday as we will not have you debate it on Friday.
- Reporters please speak loud and clearly for your audience and make sure to know your information without reading from the trading card. (you are free to email your trading cards to yourself before saving on to the teacher's flash drive, so that you can better prepare yourself)
